  Complimentary Peace

You want to know what it is about you

then I'll tell you

it's not that you listen

it's how you listen when you're paying attention

so focused

eyes narrow

barely blinking because you feel you may miss a word

uttered from my mouth

I am able to feel your concentration

When there is an interruption in our conversation

you are able to start us right where we left off

is not that you go out of your way

it's the way you are willing to extend yourself beyond any limit

I see how you do so much to please others

knowing that you won't get the same effort to return

what cracks me up about you

Is when I give you the special treatment you wish others would give

you tell me as I have told you

that I shouldn't have

so even though we

are not meant to be

I hope that you can see

that in our worlds of already established truth

and a bond of strength and unity

we are tailor-made to fit

To a tee.....
